Overview
The Techfors-S is a basic starting point for in situ sterilizable bioreactors. Its design allows operation in most standard laboratories, and in a 7.5 L system the Techfors-S can even be supplied as a bench top system.
Sterilization is essentially automatic and can be easily configured to meet individual requirements.
Culture vessel volumes of 7.5, 15, 30 and 42 L are available
There are two basic versions of the Techfors-S, a bacterial and a cell culture version. A Techfors-S is custom assembled with applications in mind and has an extensive list of choices and options to optimize for the specific demands of cell and bacterial cultures. Packages available make the selection of a working system as easy as possible.
An array of stirrers, vessel configurations, additional sensors, analyzers and pumps can be specified. Special options for batch, fed batch and continuous cultivation strategies such as chemostat or perfusion processes are available.
Very simple to use touch screen for precise control gives immediate overview of all process parameters at any time, including stirring speed, temperature, pH, p2, and as options antifoam/level, mass flow, feed, and gas mix, up to 16 freely assignable channels with additional analog signals.

Sterilization using house steam or an optional integrated or separate steam generator
An optional crane to raise the top plate, together with drive shaft and baffles, to aid assembly and cleaning, especially for larger culture vessels
Techfors-S vessels are supplied with internal fittings for either bacterial or cell culture work, bacterial systems have a mechanical coupling of the drive shaft while cell culture systems have a magnetic coupling
