Overview

Rose Scientific’s Rose Brand high quality cellulose extraction thimbles are made from fibers of noble cellulose and linters of cotton that are completely free of impurities. They are obtained by means of an aspiring tube with a stainless steel mesh immersed in a tub with a mixture of cellulose paste and water. The cellulose paste remains trapped in the steel mesh while the water is aspirated through a tube.

A mold is obtained made of one single completely homogeneous piece to the desired dimensions for various customers and meeting various manufacture’s requirement for thimbles.

These thimbles are commonly used in Soxhlet Extraction Methods either manually or with equipment manufactured for Soxhlet Extraction by companies such as Büchi, Foss-Tecator, Gerhardt, J.P.Selecta, Velp, and Labconco.
