Portable Hardness Testers or Leeb Testers are devices used for testing the hardness of metals in relatively large samples, as this parameter is a crucial test for material quality, durability and overall performance over time. The Leeb rebound dynamic method can be taken to the sample, and is non-destructive, so that frequent tests for production and quality control can be conducted.
The HK-D, HMM, HMO, HMP, HMR, HN-D hardness testers measure all metal samples of sufficient thickness and weight. All measurement directions are possible (360º) thanks to an automatic compensation function. Measurement values are displayed on easy to read screens, and include Rockwell (Type A (HK-D), B, C, Vickers (HV), Shore (HS), Leeb (HL), Brinell (HB) and tensile strength Mpa.
The testers have automatic unit conversion for all specified hardness units. Cases are cast aluminum or strong plastic. A built in mini statistics function displays measured results, average values, impact directions, date and time and each unit has a data storage facility.
