Overview
Flammable Proof storage refrigerators and freezers meet NFPA and OSHA guidelines for flammable storage in general laboratory work areas. Sources of sparks and potential ignition such as lights, thermostats, switches and fans have been removed from the interior of the units. They are available in Premier and Standard models. Premier models have digital displays with microprocessor monitoring and alarm systems.
Explosion Proof laboratory storage refrigerators and freezers meet NFPA and OSHA guidelines for operation in a hazardous location, Class I, Division I, Group C & D. They are the units of choice when requirements exist to refrigerate or freeze general or flammable materials in such an area or room. Sources of sparks and potential ignition such as lights, thermostats, switches, fans, relays and compressors have been removed or sealed in both the interior and exterior of the units. These explosion proof refrigerators and freezers must be hard wired in conduit, power cords are not supplied, and they are not intended for use in general clinical or research laboratories.
