SMT offers different C18 phases of varying carbon loads for optimal selectivity. The SMT SAM C18 phase with the lowest functional ligand coverage is the ODL series. The SMT Elite C18 series has intermediate functional ligand coverage.
The SMT SAM C18 OD series is the phase with the highest functional li¬gand density confirmed with carbon analysis of about 24% carbon load. In the SAM C18 OD series, the high density of the func-tional ligand, octadecyl molecule or C18, is achieved with the careful mixture of the C18 with the proprietary spacer molecules to insure maximum cover¬age. The SMT SAM-C18 phases are very hydrophobic and are designed to tolerate usage in very aggressive pH con¬ditions and high temperatures.
SMT SAM C18 OD Series Columns are available in 3, 5 and 10μm particle size, and 60, 100 and 300Å pore size.
