Overview

The EchoTherm Programmable Hot Plate Stirrers HS40, HS60, HS61 and HS70 and Hot Plates HP40, HP60 and HP61 share many characteristics of the Digital EchoTherm family of Stirrers, Hot Plates and Hot Plate Stirrers, but offer fully programmable control. (A 5 position Programmable EchoTherm 65 Hot Plate Stirrer is also available.)

Made with a cast aluminum chassis that is painted with chemically resistant epoxy paint. The chassis is designed to keep spills out of the case. The controls are well forward of the heater surface to prevent accidental burns.

The top plates come with ceramic or milled-flat cast aluminum top (except the ceramic only corrosion resistant HS70). Top plate dimensions include 6 × 6 inches (HS60, HP60), 8 × 8 inches (HS40, HS70 and HP40) and 12 × 12 inches (HS61, HP61).

Features of the EchoTherm^™ Programmable Hot Plate Stirrers and Hot Plates:

Memory can store up to 10 programs, with no battery necessary
Program up to 10 steps with control over temperature, time, heating rate and (for HS models) stirring speed
Repeat any program 1 - 98 times automatically, Set for infinite repeats
Temperature ramping for exact heating and cooling rates
PID temperature control to 1 °C on plate surface or in solution with accessory temperature probe
Electronic calibration stored
All parameters displayed all the time
Can be used manually as well as in programmable mode
Solid ceramic heater top for quick heating. Aluminum available (not for HS70)

Special Features of the corrosion resistant EchoTherm^™ Programmable Hot Plate Stirrer:

Designed for corrosive environments where other stirring hot plates would be destroyed quickly by vapors or spills
Can be purged using an inert gas through a fitting on the rear of the unit
Purging provides a positive gas pressure inside the unit to prevent corrosive gases from entering
