Shaking Incubators, INFORS Thermotron High Temperature
Overview
The INFORS Thermotron is a compact, easy to use, high temperature incubation and shaking package. The Thermotron can operate reliably at temperatures up to 95 °C.
The ingenious design of the Infors shakers features a front-loading pullout platform, stainless steel interior panels, panoramic front window and inspection light. The downward tilting door provides a practical area for the removable tray and easy access to its contents without complete removal.
The design of the housing of the Thermotron minimizes heat loss and the electronics are outside the incubation chamber so they are unaffected by the internal temperatures.
Although the Thermotron is relatively compact and can be set up as a bench top unit, it features a large 840 × 450 mm tray. The Infors Sticky Mat is not compatible with the high temperatures of the Thermotron so stainless steel flask clips must be used. Heat shield inside the chamber limits flask size to 3000 L, but 9 of them can be accommodated.
The Thermotron uses INFORs Penta-Drive that firmly connects and supports the shaking tray at five points, for robust and reliable operation. A dynamic counter balance system reduces noise and unwanted vibration.
The standard or basic version is configured to offer monitoring and control of temperature, speed, time and automatic restart from an easy to use and accessible operating panel. Options such as cooling, an extendable shelf for static incubation, nozzle for external gas supply, PC software (ShakerWeb) for data logging and control, and options for heavy loads are available to specifically design a Thermotron for any application.
