The Biochrom Anthos Zenyth 340 is a universal microplate reader designed for a wide range of colorimetric assays.
The Zenyth 340 is a PC-controlled, filter-based microplate reader with optional temperature control. The instrument has 3 shaking modes for mixing of solutions and the ability to perform readings at timed intervals ideal for kinetic assays. A stand-alone version is also available.
Ideal for labs performing varied assay times, the Zenyth 340 measures a variety of well formats from 6 to 384-well plates with the standard ANSI SBS footprint.
The ADAP Basic PC software package, supporting user administration, device control, data storage and export, kinetic data reduction, scanning and shaking is included. This software can be upgraded to ADAP Plus, that adds user login, sample quantitation, curve fits, qualitative analysis, replicate elimination and assay validation.
The ADAP Expert software adds inter-plate multi assay, kinetic evaluation and 3-D scan display to the ADAP Plus package.
The main application areas are Elisa, cell based assays such as apoptosis, cell proliferation and cytotoxicity, reporter assays or beta galactosidase based reporter studies, colorimetric protein quantification as in Bradford, Lowry, and BCA assays, NAD(P)H-based activity studies or enzyme kinetics, and precipitation studies.
